✅ Who Can Appear for the Compartmental Exam?

If you appeared in 5 subjects and failed in 1 or 2 subjects, you’re eligible to appear for those subjects in the compartmental exam.
If you failed in 3 or more subjects, unfortunately, you will need to appear in the next annual exam for all subjects.
If you had 6 subjects and failed in 3, you can still appear in 2 subjects under the compartmental rule.
- If you pass 2 and fail 1, you will still be considered overall pass.
If you failed in 4 or more out of 6 subjects, you will have to retake the full board exam next year.

📝 What is Scrutiny?

Scrutiny means rechecking of marks—not re-evaluation of answers. It includes:

Recalculation of marks
Ensuring all answers were checked
Ensuring no questions were left unmarked

⚠️ Important:

Marks may increase, decrease, or stay the same
If you received grace marks, you should not apply for scrutiny—your result may be revised to “Fail”
