According to police reports, Muskaan and Sahil meticulously planned the murder. They purchased two knives worth ₹800, and Muskaan even practiced stabbing before executing the crime. The gruesome act took place in their rented apartment, where they later tried to hide the body in a drum filled with cement.
Escape to Himachal Pradesh
After committing the crime, the duo left for a vacation in Himachal Pradesh, attempting to act normal. They visited Shimla and Manali, trying to evade suspicion. However, CCTV footage and digital transactions led the police to their location.

Once arrested, Muskaan and Sahil exhibited severe withdrawal symptoms in jail. Reports suggest that they were addicted to drugs and demanded marijuana and morphine injections. Jail authorities had to provide them with medical assistance.
